Honda, "Seinfeld", "Family Guy" and "Rules of Engagement"

Honda has developed a creative, new campaign, called "Good Reasons". Just as the name indicates, the campaign aims to provide prospective car buyers with good reasons to choose Honda, over other brands available in the market. To keep it from being the same-old, same-old, they do it in an incredibly clever way, with the help of comedic actor Patrick Warburton.

Maybe, you've previously enjoyed Warburton's off-handed sarcasm in shows such as Seinfeld, Family Guy, and Rules of Engagement. Well, he brings the same kind of punch from those shows to the new series of Honda spots, scheduled to launch during high-traffic programming. Specifically, he plays a self-assured third-party person trying to shed light onto the truth about car buying and car advertising. Trust us, it's hilarious. And, so honest, it's impossible not to appreciate.

"In this campaign, we took the values that are core to Honda's brand image - simple, smart and straightforward - and made them really engaging and fun," says Jason Sperling, RPA SVP/GCD. "We created a layer of honesty that isn't seen from most car manufacturers. And we show Honda's many strengths in a way that cuts through the clichés and usual tactics."1

In addition to TV ad spots, Honda has integrated a suite of online videos to support the campaign. All feature Warburton. One, on Facebook, even allows enthusiasts to pick alternative endings and vote for their favorite. The ending that garners the most votes will be featured in a new TV spot scheduled to air next month.
